Do you work with a second Photographer?

You bet! His name is Brendan Nogue and he is also a wedding photographer with the company name, Brendan Nogue Photography. Brendan and I have a “divide and conquer” attitude. Which means we don’t like to take the same photo. We don’t just want to capture you walking down the aisle; we also want to show how happy and proud your mom looked at that moment too. Brendan photographs with Canon and I photograph with Nikon so we’re basically the modern day Romeo and Juliet.

 Do you offer engagement photographs?

You bet! In fact I believe it’s such a good chance for us to get to know each other that I offer it for free.  A wedding day is filled with your closest family and friends; the last thing I want you to be thinking is “who’s the weirdo photographer.”

Do I have to get engagement photographs?

Because I believe engagement photos are such a great chance to know each other I strongly recommend it, however it’s not mandatory.  And since it is truly a free service, the session cannot be exchanged or swapped out with other services.

What happens if something happens to you?

I’ll come photograph in ghost form… Ahhh just kidding that sounds scary. If anything serious happens to me, Brendan would be in charge of taking care of you. Along with that I am also a part of social and networking groups that connect all the awesome photographers of Alberta. Your day would get beautifully photographed, and that’s a promise. But hopefully that doesn’t happen because even if I have to make my way like John Candy in trains, planes and automobiles, I’ll make my way to your wedding.

Can my family and guests take pictures at my wedding?

Absolutely! They are your family and friends and they are there to celebrate and have fun with you! I will say this however, during your ceremony you may prefer your guests to stay seated, nothing is a romantic buzz kill, like chairs scrapping against the floor.

Do I get all of the photographs you take?

The last wedding I photographed I took 6,500 images. If I were to give that many photos I feel like I would get hate mail and with good reason. So with that being said, I take multiple photographs of the same thing and choose the best of. From there I carefully choose and edit those images to give to you on an easy to use USB. I never limit the amount of photographs I give; the ones that turn out best are put on your USB!

How long does it take to get my photographs back?

Since I don’t limit the number of photographs I take, it takes 6-8 weeks from the wedding date to upload, carefully select, and touch up each image.

I also put together a sneak peek on the blog approximately 4 weeks after the wedding day, so you have something to share!

How do you back-up your images?

I’m almost TOO careful when it comes to backing up my photographs. My camera has two memory card slots, so every image I take automatically gets backed up just in case. From there I then upload the raw files onto two back drives. I keep the raw unedited photographs up to a year and will always keep a copy of the edited images I gave you on your USB.

Do you offer off-season discounts?

Yes, I do depending on that year’s availability. In the past, months like December ended up being one of my most booked times. However, every year is different so please feel free to contact me for a special quote.

When should I book my wedding photography?

I feel most comfortable taking wedding bookings approx 1-1.5 years from the wedding date. I am a first come first served business, generally after the venue is booked.

How would you describe your photography style?

I’d like to think that my style is a reflection of who I am as a person. I’m not super traditional and I don’t take myself too seriously.  I want the photographs to help you remember the laughs, tears and moments of your wedding day.
